Lab Technician - Refinery/Petroleum

TECH 2000 is currently seeking lab technician candidates for an assignment in the Memphis, TN area. This position will work in a dynamic, fast paced laboratory to support the delivery of analytical data for the company’s customers and products.

Major Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Practical hands-on experience with various Gas Chromatograph & GC/MS methods.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct various wet chemistry and physical-analytical skills – KF, ASTM, etc.
• Ability to perform routine calibrations, maintenance or troubleshooting is preferred.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following established health and safety or chemical hygiene requirements.

Qualifications/Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, other related Science degrees.
• Strong adherence to safety.
• 0-6 months of industrial experience with various instrumental analysis and wet chemistry testing in a refinery laboratory or third-party petroleum testing lab. 1 years’ experience preferred
• Must possess or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work assignments and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
• Strong communication skills are required with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must be willing to work 12 hour rotating shift.

• Pay - $24-30/hr
